Co-Costume Director for "Radium Girls"

October 2021

I was Co-Costume Director for Lockport High School's 2021 production of "Radium Girls". The show is set in the 1920's. Period appropriate clothing was the primary focus of the design process. We were only able to pull costumes directly from the costume shop due to COVID limitations. We limited the color palette to neutrals, dark tones and accents of green to emphasize the color of radium where we could. All actors were outfitted with multiple costume changes each to reflect their changing characters throughout the show.

Co-Costume Director for "Godspell"

June 2021

I was Co-Costume Director for Lockport High School's 2021 production of "Godspell". Due to continued COVID-19 restrictions, we sourced all costumes directly from the cast member's closets. The vision for the costumes included all cast members wearing some denim, sneakers, and the rest of the clothing was selected based off color theory in relation to the character's personality. Each character had one color their outfit focused on while chorus members wore patterns to tie in multiple colors. For the finale of the show, each actor changed into a tie dye tee shirts to symbolize the unity of the group. We also created red "buffs" for each cast member to use as an ever changing prop throughout the show. The red buffs also served as their tool for the crucifixion at the end.
